Under 14 Waterpolo 2024

1. Age Requirements

Your child must be under 14 years of age on the 1st of January 2024 to be eligible to play for the u14 age group in 2024. This means they must have been born in 2010 or later.

2. Games for 2024

U14 teams will take part in weekly games in both Term 3 and Term 4. Term 3 This year our teams will take part in the weekly Sunday Night League at Stanmore Bay over term 3 – this provides an opportunity to get our U14’s warmed up for the season with some regular game time in a friendly competition - games are played on Sunday evenings usually between 4pm and 8pm. Term 4 Teams will then compete in the U14 Auckland League in Term 4. This is a weekly competition organised by Auckland Water Polo and is the main league for our U14's. Games will likely be on the weekend at various times and across different pools in Auckland, draw yet to be confirmed.

3. U14 Nationals Tournament 202

When: Thursday 12 December – Sunday 15 December

Where: Auckland

Who: This is the national division two tournament for Under 14's, this is a great tournament and a really awesome experience for our U14 players and their families who choose to join us.

Accommodation: Not required.

Travel: Not required – players and families to carpool as required

Overall Cost: TBC

4. Training Times

In term 3, training will be once a week for 90 minutes on Sunday mornings at either the National Aquatic Centre (NAC) or AUT Millennium.

In term 4, training will be once a week for 90 minutes on Sunday morning at either the National Aquatic Centre (NAC) or AUT Millenium. Sunday training dates and times in Term 4 to be confirmed at the end of Term 3, likely to be the very similar to Term 3.

We will also add an additional midweek training session in Term 4 as we build towards the U14 National Tournament in December, day and time to be confirmed.

5. U14 Fees

The U14 fees this year will be $450 per player for the season (July to December 2024) and will be invoiced in one lump sum, however, please contact us of you would like to organise a payment plan.

Your fees will cover the following:

- Weekly training at NAC / AUT Millennium in Terms 3 and 4

- Weekly training at Stanmore Bay in Term 4

- Weekly swim session at Stanmore Bay in term 4- TBC

- Entry fees into the Term 3 Sunday Night League and Term 4 Auckland League
